Not only was Pattinson not a fan of the fame Twilight brought him, he also wasn’t crazy about the movie or the character he portrayed so much either. During numerous press tours for the films, Pattinson would open up with reporters about how he disliked his character, saying that he “hated” Edward even calling him the “most ridiculous person.”
He also famously mocked the novel’s author, Stephanie Meyer, calling her “mad” while making the claim that she wrote the book with herself in mind as the protagonist and that she seemed to be “in love with her own fictional creation.”
