Often, it seemed like there was a rotating staff for various characters on the show. Darrin was played by different actors, but so were the characters Gladys Kravitz, Louise Tate, and Darrin’s father.
Coupled with the age, and therefore restrictive nature of the character’s role, it’s little shock that many actresses played her. In season two, five different babies played the role. However, by season five, the role was taken solely by Erin Murphy, and sometimes her twin sister, Diane.
