After showing that she had the chops to be the lead in her own television show, Krysten Ritter was given the role of Jessica Jones in the new Netflix original television series, Jessica Jones. Ritter does a marvelous job in the role, playing a hard-nosed detective with an infamous reputation and a knack for getting the job done. She eventually teams up with the likes of Iron Fist, Daredevil, and Luke Cage in the adjacent Netflix series Defenders.
