Before The Facts of Life, Piekarski was an active actress who appeared in 130 episodes of The New Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and in The Wonderful of Disney. She continued to act after playing the role of Sue Ann Weaver and she appeared on Quincy, M.E. and on Three’s Company. After 1986, Piekarski took a long break from acting to raise her three children with her dentist husband, John Probst. She made her last appearance in The Importance of Doubting Tom in 2016.
