Born Sherrie Veronica Krenn, she goes by her professional name Sherrie Austin. Austin no longer has an acting career, however, she did go on to have a successful singing career. Austin started singing at the age of 14 when she opened for Johnny Cash. After she appeared on The Facts of Life, Austin moved to Nashville to pursue her career in music before moving to New York City to appear in the production Bonnie & Clyde. She also appeared in The Johnny Cash Musical Show before returning to Nashville.
