Emily Mahoney was a teacher at Eastland Academy on the first season. The history and science teacher often helped out the headmaster and Mrs. Garrett and assisted them in teaching the students. Mrs. Mahoney liked sticking to the rules and she was very strict about it. Although she only appeared in the first four episodes, she was an interesting character. Janny O’Hara may have only had a brief time of the show, but she had many other roles prior and following her role.
