Rumors began forming around Marie’s win and many claimed that she wasn’t the true holder of the actual winning lottery ticket. Since Marie signed her ticket, but people still did not see this as undeniable proof.
Many of her family members even claimed that the ticket really belonged to their ninety year old grandmother’s. One of Marie’s cousins stated that she believed Marie took the ticket from her grandmother and put her own signature on the ticket.
