Demi Lovato found fame very early, netting her first starring role in Camp Rock at only 16. Only two years later, however, she got in trouble for assaulting her backup dancer on a flight.
Lovato not only suffered from various illicit habits, but was also diagnosed as bipolar. “I wanted freedom from the inner demons,” she said of that period in her life. “I wanted to start my life over.” After a stint in rehab, she did just that – and uses her fame to help others in her former position.
