If you were watching TV in the ’90s, chances are you are familiar with Dustin Diamond aka lovable ‘nerd’ Screech from teen sitcom Saved by the Bell. While on the popular show, Diamond received fan-favorite status for his quirky humor and fun-loving persona he played on-screen.
Unfortunately, after the franchise came to an official end in 2000, Diamond struggled landing steady roles and everyone, including his fans, couldn’t disassociate him from Screech. Many people would approach the star on the street, only to be disappointed to see that he wasn’t really like his character in real life, causing many people to label him as a ‘jerk.’ Unfortunately, as his career struggled, Diamond found himself in the midst of some legal issues, and even spent three months in prison in 2015 for disorderly conduct.
