While Mario Batali might be one of the most sought-after chefs on The Food Network, it seems as though his waiters are after more than just some of his cooking skills – they want their money back! Mario was accused by 117 employees of skimming the tips. He was taking around 5% of the tips intended for the waiters and using them to pay other members of staff. The case went on for many years until Mario was forced to pay $5.25 million in lost wages.
