Years after Burt Reynolds and Sally Field broke up, Reynolds admitted he thought Field was the love of his life. The pair met when filming road trip adventure Smokey and the Bandit, and were together for five years. From 1978 to 1982 Reynolds was the number one box office draw and he spent that time in a relationship with Field. When the relationship ended, so too did Reynold’s time as the number one guy in Hollywood.
