Television shows will do all sorts of things to help make their shows seem as real and authentic as possible, and Walker, Texas Ranger tried to do the same. For one particular episode where Walker had to be in a prison, the show made plans to film at a real state prison. However, those plans had to be scraped when an actual jail break occurred at the prison just a few days before they were scheduled to shoot. So, they had to make due with a fake prison set instead.
