Without a doubt, Chuck Norris completely embodies the character of Cordell Walker on the show, and many fans felt that he did the Texas Rangers proud. Even long after the show ended, Norris was still remembered for the show. In 2010, Rick Perry, the Governor of Texas at the time, decided he needed to make Norris’ ties to the Texas Rangers even more official by making Norris, and his brother, Aaron, honorary rangers. Perry even went one step further and dubbed Norris an honorary Texan as well.
