Anyone familiar with Chuck Norris’ work will know that he tends to take on projects with a lot of action, which generally includes some violent scenes. Walker, Texas Ranger was no different, however, at the time in the ‘90s people weren’t used to seeing that level of violence on primetime television. This caused a lot of criticism, and in 1998 it led to a study conducted by the UCLA Center for Communication policy. In the study they expressed concern over the show’s violence, and the influence it could have on an audience.
