While the filming location for the show might have been authentic, locals were not so thrilled with the show’s portrayal of the Lone Star State. The people of Texas tend to be very passionate about their state, and did not take kindly to the things the show got wrong. Many criticized the show for its inaccuracies, including some pretty major ones such as the law enforcement agencies actual location. In the show, the headquarters are in Dallas, when in reality they are located in Austin.
