Finally, in March 2017, Muller was put on trial. Denise struggled with the decision whether to appear in court or not. Since her kidnapping and assault, she had frequent nightmares and now slept with a hammer next to her bed. The PTSD she suffered from broke Aaron’s heart, and he did everything he could to help the love of his life. Despite her fear, she knew what she had to do, and so on the day of the trial, she got herself together and went down to the courthouse.
