Denise took to Facebook to update her friends about the status of the case. Even during the painful trial she showed her strength by eloquently articulating her struggle to move forward. The love she received was in stark contrast to what she initially received after the police came forward saying that she staged a hoax. The love continued after the 20/20 interview aired and the rest of the world learned about the pain and horror she and Aaron went through.
