John Lawlor did not make many more acting appearances after his time on The Facts of Life, however, he did appear as Supervisor Leonard Marsh on the show, Phyllis, which was the second spin-off series of The Mary Tyler Moore Show. Lawlor also made appearances on shows such as L.A. Law, Knots Landing and Mr. Belvedere. He was married to Canadian actress Tantoo Cardinal but the couple divorced and have two children together. Lawlor also has four other children.
