In the first season of The Facts of Life, there were many other characters that were cut out of the show after the producers changed the direction of where they wanted it to go. In the first season, Molly Parker was one of the girls at the school who was under the care of Mrs. Garrett. Molly only appeared on the show from 1979 until 1980 but she did not need to worry about getting cut as she went onto become a teen idol of the 1980s.
