This film was set in the Great Depression but Depp’s character Judge Murray is wearing a clothing item that does not fit the time period.
His coat is much too modern for the time as he is easily able to move around in it. Coats at that time were heavy and hard to move around in. While the movie is still great, this was a slip up by the costume department.
