Mel Gibson gave a memorable performance as William Wallace in the film Braveheart. The role catapulted him into international fame but there is an inaccuracy in his costume.
The movie was set in the 13th century but the kilt that Gibson is wearing was worn in the 16th century. This is a pretty minor detail and it does not take away from how great this film is.
