Reynolds met co-star Adrienne Barbeau while filming The Cannonball Run in 1981. It’s unclear when they started dating as that was also the time Reynolds was said to be dating Sally Field, but there were several reports that the pair spent some time together. Although Reynolds might later say he would regret marrying an actress, that definitely didn’t stop him from dating plenty of them first. He said his big regret was not marrying the love of his life Sally Field when he had the opportunity.
