Dinah Shore broke onto the music scene in the 1940s as a vocalist for the radio, but she would later transition into a television actress by the 1950s. Shore was given her own variety show in 1951, titled The Dinah Shore Show, and she continued featuring in variety shows until the ‘70s. Shore met Burt Reynolds during that decade and the pair had a long and happy relationship together despite the singer come actress being 20 years Reynolds’ senior.
