Burt Reynolds and Sarah Miles met on the set of 1973 western romance The Man Who Loved Cat Dancing. The pair starred opposite each other as outlaws on the run after Miles’ character left her husband to join the bandit gang. Reynolds and Miles were rumored to be dating for a while following their time on set together, presumably after Miles’ divorce from her husband Robert Bolt in 1975. Her breakout role came in 1970 after Bolt cast her in the 1970 romantic drama Ryan’s Daughter.
