Reynolds and Kim Basinger were rumored to be dating back in 1976. At that stage of her career, Basinger had only made a couple of TV appearances in Gemini Man and Charlie’s Angels. Basinger was still well known to TV viewers, however, as she had been the Brec Champo girl in their commercials for several years prior to acting. Basinger was a model for several years before she made the switch to acting in the mid-’70s. Reynolds was reportedly one of her first relationships in the world of show business.
