Whoopi Goldberg, self-named after the popular toy the whoopee cushion, is a multi-talented entertainer and one of the few people to have won an Emmy, Tony, Grammy and Oscar. What is less known about her, though, is that she was married three times and had a daughter at 17. Alex Martin, Goldberg’s only child, was from her first marriage to Alvin Martin. While Whoopi admits her failed marriages were her fault, since she wasn’t in love and couldn’t make a commitment, she adores her daughter, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter very much.
