Roseanne Barr, who plays one of America’s favorite TV moms, actually gave her first child up for adoption at 17. Though she wanted to keep her daughter, Roseanne felt she couldn’t give her a decent life while working as a restaurant dishwasher and doing standup on the side. After she made it big with her own show, Roseanne and her daughter reconnected 17 years later, with her daughter becoming a production assistant on her show. At present, Barr has five children and is working on the revival of Roseanne.
