Aaron’s mother, Marianne Quinn, spoke to reporters outside of the courtroom after the hearing. She was visibly shaken as she spoke to journalists about how she thought the trial went. “I really want to say what a tragedy this is for all of us,” she said behind tears. “The saddest thing of the whole incident was that it was botched from the beginning by the police and the FBI that let them off with it. It could have been stopped… if they had actually done their job.
