After much back and forth between Denise and Aaron’s lawyer and the police department, they finally reached an agreement. In March of this year, the Vallejo police department was ordered to pay the couple $2.5 million. Although it certainly is a large sum of money, it doesn’t take away from the trauma that they endured and continue to endure. Denise constantly wakes up in the middle of the night from nightmares and Aaron still fears more captors are out there.
