This US Navy Destroyer was named after Former United States Navy Commander Clyde Everett Lassen.
It is a part of the Arleigh Burke class of destroyers, and was built by Bath Iron Works in the town of Bath Maine. The destroyer has been on missions to try and challenge Chinese military and governmental claims to the Spratly Islands in the South China Sea, and has also been at the forefront of searching ships which are destined for North Korea.
