This is the SAS Mendi, a South African frigate which is one of the most powerful ships on the entire continent of Africa.
The ship has South African made Umkhonto surface to air missiles and a whole host of heavy gatling guns. The South African naval vessel has been involved in several missions, most notably patrolling off the coast of Mozambique and Somalia in order to keep the area clean of pirates.
