At 13, Keisha Castle-Hughes was nominated for Best Actress for her breakthrough performance in the film Whale Rider. Her favorite role, however, is being a mother to her daughter Felicity. Castle-Hughes was in shock when she became pregnant at 16 with her then-boyfriend, but says it was the best thing to happen to her. Castle-Hughes didn’t let young motherhood hold her back from a successful career, recently appearing in HBO’s fantasy phenomenon Game of Thrones.
