The area is known for piracy, so the Malaysian military is one of the countries at the forefront of anti-piracy operations. This may be the reason the Malaysian military has over 110,000 active duty soldiers as well as over a quarter of a million in reserves.

The Austrian Armed Forces is basically a shadow of what it once was during the Austro-Hungarian empire. They even used to have a navy up until 2006, consisting of patrol boats which used to patrol up and down the Danube river.
However, this authority was transferred to the federal police back in 2006 as a result of cuts to military spending. Nowadays, you are more likely to see Austrian soldiers on UN peacekeeping missions around the world.
