This Turkish ship was originally deployed in order to keep the Sea of Marmara open to international shipping going back and forth through the Black sea, but this Ada Class ship, the TCG Heybeliada, has recently taken on a new role.
It now patrols the waters between Greece and Turkey in an effort to stop illegal migrants from crossing into the European Union. The ship currently does patrols off the coast of Izmir.
