The Brazilian Army may not have been involved in a lot of global conflicts as of late, but that is because this giant military apparatus is more focused on what is going on within its borders and region.
The Brazilians are concerned about gangs using its vast jungles to illegally log, illegally expand ranches, and make illegal substances. They are also more concerned with fighting the crime rings in the shantytowns known as favelas than they are in sending troops to Afghanistan.
