Debbie was raised in Rochdale, a town in Greater Manchester, England. When she was a teenager, she started working as a fashion model, and had a successful 6-year-long career. She didn’t discover her passion for design until she began decorating her and her husband’s old Victorian house.
After receiving acclaim for her work she decided to try her hand at her own line of unique products. She pitched her ideas to department stores and quickly began earning media attention for her unusual efforts. She formed a small decorating business, and the rest is history! This lovely picture is from her modeling days, before she knew she was going to be a design queen.
