Nigella was born and raised in London, England, as the daughter Nigel Lawson, the Chancellor of the Exchequer and Vanessa, whose family owned the famous British food manufacturing company J.Lyons and Co.
The future cooking star studied at Godolphin and Latymer School, a private all-girls school for ages 11 through 18 in Hammersmith, West London. After graduating from Lady Margaret Hall of Oxford University, Nigella started paving her way in the food industry by taking jobs as a restaurant critic.
