Rachael grew up in Lake George, New York. A passion for food was in her blood, as her mother managed restaurants throughout New York’s Capital District, including the Howard Johnson restaurant in their home town.
While she was in high school, she was a model student and a member on the school’s cheerleading squad. A few years after graduating, she moved to New York City where she started working at the candy counter at Macy’s Marketplace.
