Cat Cora was born and raised in Jackson, Mississippi, and grew up around food her entire life. Both her grandfather as well as her father were both in the restaurant business, and taught Cat the basics of what it takes to succeed in the food industry.
Her family is from the tiny Greek island of Skopelos, Greece, and it is that style of food and cooking that inspired Cora to create the Greek/Southern comfort food fusion which she has become famous for.
