Anne Burrell was born and raised in the small, northern New York town of Cazenovia. After studying in high school there, she went off to get a bachelor’s degree in communications and English from Canisius College.
Burrell got into her current line of work by going to the Culinary Institute of America, and eventually going off to Italy to work at a small yet prestigious restaurant in the Tuscany region of Italy.
