How many people are so recognizable that you can immediately know who you’re looking at just by seeing their silhouette? We don’t know the exact figure – we just know that director Alfred Hitchcock is one of them. When Anthony Hopkins was cast to play the famed director in in the simply-named biopic Hitchcock, getting the look right was of the utmost importance. Makeup wiz Howard Berger went through six different iterations, eventually settling on one that contained as little prosthetics as possible. The end result captured the essence of the character, rather than be an impression of the man.
