Although things were going well for Elisabeth and Andrew as far as their careers went, they were about to suffer a truly tragic loss in the family. In 1988, the Shues were on a family vacation when the unimaginable happened.
William Shue, Elisabeth and Andrew’s older brother, was involved in an accident in which he unfortunately passed away. Both Elisabeth and Andrew were devastated by the incident – having such a close relationship to their older brother, they could not believe that they had lost him.
