It was a fairly big decision for Elisabeth to drop out of Harvard – not least because she had decided to pursue a career in acting almost entirely by chance. Elisabeth had appeared in one or two commercials while she was in high school, but had no intention of taking acting any further.
However, while at Harvard, one of her friends convinced her to try out for commercials as a way of earning money while studying. Elisabeth found enough success early on that acting quickly appeared to be a viable career.
