Both Elisabeth and Andrew were very active in sports during their time at high school, pursuing several different activities. One of the sports that Elisabeth was most dedicated to was gymnastics, in which she was a very accomplished talent.
Elisabeth was so good that she became captain of the team, and intended on competing for Columbia High School at the state championships. While Shue maintained her interest in gymnastics into adult life, a ripped Achilles tendon at age 37 meant she could no longer practice it.
