Elisabeth Shue is known almost as much for the roles that she did not take as for the ones that she did. For instance, she was offered the lead part in the CBS legal drama ‘The Good Wife’, which aired from 2009 to 2016.
The show follows Alicia Florrick – played by Julianna Margulies – a lawyer who returns to practice after a scandal involving her husband. The show was hugely popular and won massive critical praise – making quite a missed opportunity for Shue.
