Hard rock band The Runaways was already notable for having an all-girl lineup, so having Joan Jett be a member was merely the cherry (bomb) on top. Jett was an imposing figure in the music scene. In fact, she still is. That’s why it was so challenging for Kristen Stewart to try and capture her for the biopic named after the band. Even though Stewart looked the part, and even had Jett monitor her vocal and guitar lessons, she did break down when the singer saw her rehearse and felt that she wasn’t putting her all into the performance.
