Appearing in a movie based on someone else’s life can be quite a daunting task. You want to do the person you’re playing justice, but still make the character your own. That task gets about ten times harder when the person being portrayed isn’t only still alive, but still very much high-profile. That was the challenge tackled by Charlize Theron when she played former Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly in Bombshell. Unafraid, Theron used makeup and prosthetics to completely disappear into her Oscar-nominated role, despite her conscious decision not to meet Kelly beforehand.
