[post_page_title]Daniel Day-Lewis vs. Abraham Lincoln[/post_page_title]
There might not ever be a Daniel Day-Lewis again. The three-time Oscar winner is known for the intensity with which he plunges himself into his roles. A method actor, Day-Lewis gets so into character that he’s been known to inhabit his creations throughout the shoot – even when the cameras aren’t rolling! This was precisely the case for Lincoln, naturally about Abraham Lincoln. Day-Lewis already somewhat resembled Honest Abe, but he changed his voice to sound like him as well, and kept the high-pitched tone between takes. As for the makeup, no prosthetics were used so as not to hamper his performance, except for one – a mole made of gelatin.
