Sam Claflin broke onto the movie scene in 2010 when he starred alongside Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. When Game of Thrones was being adapted into the highly successful TV show, Sam Claflin jumped at the chance to become Jon Snow.
However, Sam admitted that he knew the role wasn’t for him shortly after arriving at the audition. The show went for Kit Harrington to play the role and Sam has praised the actor for his portrayal of the character.
