Before the 1971 comedy TV series, All in the Family first premiered on screens across America; it had to go through several big changes. There were several pilot reshoots before the show was deemed to be ready, which meant a lot of recasting for several parts.
The relatively unknown (at the time) actress Candice Azzara initially played Gloria Bunker-Stivic, the Bunker’s daughter, before the past was given to Sally Struthers. Luckily, Candice Azzara never found herself short of opportunities and became a star in her own right.
